Sinar Pelangi Download ManagerIni adalah program download manager yang berjalan under Linux. Telah dites sukses di Ubuntu 10.10.
This is only a GUI of axel.
axel itself is included in this program so you don't need to download and install a tiny-yet-useful axel.
axel is a well-known download accelelator that can make our download 3-5 times faster.
Unluckily, axel is a CLI (Command Line Interface) so not all people can use this tool.
I try to make a GUI of axel in order to make axel not only a download accelelator but also a download manager.
Now, you can start and pause download easily. You also don't be afraid
of forgetting download links when download progress terminated.
This is Sinar Pelangi Download Manager version 0.1 (spdm 0.1)
Because it is the first release, I know there are MUCH bugs you will
found within. So don't be ashamed to mail me the bugs. I will try my
best to make this program better though I am not a professional one.
Running this program requires:
- Python 2.2+ (recommended 2.6+) (usually pre-installed in many linux distributions, so you MAY NOT install it ;-))
- wxwidget (It is better to install it prior to using spdm 0.1)
For Ubuntu users, you can simply install using apt command:
sudo apt-get install python-wxgtk2.8
Or, if it fails, you can download from
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17145089/lin...hon2.8.tar.bz2 Extract to any directory and then open terminal to do:
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
This will install wxwidget 2.8
I began to recognize python language just a month ago. So, this is a short introduction. While creating this program, I use:
- Python 2.6
- wxwidget
- pexpect module
I also make a single binary that no need to download and install other requirements. Use it if only you are a beginner users.
WARNING! Though I don't utilize scripts that removes downloaded file
when removing download lists, I don't guarantee every damages occured.
It's free for use but use at your own risk!

= KNOWN BUG =
=============
I apologize if it will uncomfort you.
The bug is that if you download with the GOD-LIKE speed download,
perharps the download will stop at 99%. Check the destination directory.
If there is no .st file, it means that the download progress is
actually done.
The problem is not on your download, but it is on this program. :-(
Ini cuma GUI dari program axel.
Program axel sendiri sudah dimasukkan ke dalam program ini jadi kamu
tidak perlu install program imut-ngegemesin-tapi-berguna ini.
Program axel sudah dikenal baik sebagai download accelelator (bikin download jadi cepet) 3-5 kali.
Sayangnya, axel hanya sebuah CLI (Command Line Interface) jadi tidak semua orang bisa menggunakan tool ini.
Saya coba (serius lah) buat bikin GUI nya supaya axel tidak cuma buat
cepet download, tapi juga jadi download manager (kayak IDM gitu).
Sekarang, kamu dapat mulai dan pause download dengan mudah. Kamu juga jangan takut lupa download link ketika downloadnya gagal.
Program ini namanya Sinar Pelangi Download Manager 0.1 (spdm 0.1)
Karena ini keluaran pertama, saya tahu banyak sekali kesalahan di sana
sini. Jadi jangan malu untuk kasih tahu saya ya. Saya akan coba sebaik
mungkin buat program ini menjadi lebih baik meskipun saya bukan seorang
profesional.
Supaya program ini jalan, kita perlu:
- Python 2.2+ (disarankan 2.6+) (biasanya sudah terinstall kok di distro
Linux jadi KEMUNGKINAN kamu nggak perlu pusing masalah ini)
- wxwidget (Lebih baik cek dulu deh sudah keinstall apa nggak.)
Buat kamu pengguna Ubuntu, cara paling simpel install wxwidget adalah:
sudo apt-get install python-wxgtk2.8
Atau, jika gagal, download aja di
marihttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/17145089/linux/apps/wxpython2.8.tar.bz2 Ekstrak, dan jalankan di terminal:
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
Ini akan nginstall wxwidget 2.8
Saya mulai kenal python baru sebulan yang lalu. Jadi yah, maklum, ini
baru pengantar saja. Ketika saya membuat program ini, saya menggunakan:

Saya juga membuat satu file eksekutabel (horroh kono ngucape piye) jadi
dengan menggunakan file ini nggak perlu install lain-lain.
BAHAYA! eh... salah... PERINGATAN! Meskipun saya nggak menggunakan skrip
yang dapat menghapus file hasil downloadan, tetap saja saya tidak
bertanggung jawab atas kerusakan file yang terjadi. Pake resiko sendiri,
bro!

Saya minta maaf kalau nyenggol kamu (apa hubungannya?).
Error itu yakni ketika kamu sedang download dengan KECEPATAN SEPERTI
DEWA, maka download akan berhenti pada proses 99%. Cek saja isi
direktorinya. Jika sudah nggak ada .st file, berarti prosesnya sudah
selesai.
Kesalahan bukan pada download Anda, tetapi pada programnya . :-( (nangis sesenggukan)
